Be Careful… You’re Contagious!

There are many things in life you do not want to catch- a cold, swine, pessimism, hopelessness, etc. But there are so many wonderful things in the world that are contagious. The other day I was blessed with the opportunity to catch up (via facebook) with my friend Ashley from high school (she is a very talented photographer- you MUST check out her website “Ashley Lauren Photography”). But near the end of our exchange she made a comment that made me think. She simply stated “Keep up your sweet spirit….it’s contagious!” This made me wonder, how often is my spirit contagious? Are my “not-so-sweet” spirits contagious also?

We have the opportunity to be contagious in a positive way. Today, I challenge you to be contagious. Make everyone you come in contact with today walk away with a smile on their face and a happy heart.

“Keep up your sweet spirit….it’s contagious!”

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
Hebrews 10:24

“Our deepest fears is not that we are in adequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our dark, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. We are all meant to shine. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not within some, but it is within everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others the permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates others.”

-Marianne Williamson
