Challenge

Recently my Bible study leader, Jane, encouraged us to join her on a challenge. This challenge is to take Psalm 119 and meditate and memorize a verse a day. Memorizing verses is something we are told to do time and time again. Psalm 119 even states it. If you would like to join on this journey I will try to post the verse each day (or maybe a few at a time, depending on how busy my schedule looks). Today is my first day and because of that, I decided to read ahead and refresh my mind on what these verses are about. So below are just the first two. What a great way to start a chapter- who doesn’t love being reminded of the blessings we are promised when we follow the Lord? (Our verse for the day is in bold)

Blessed are they whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to the law of the Lord.
Blessed are they who keep his statutes
and seek him with all their heart.”
Psalm 119:1-2

I pray that as we begin this journey the Lord will open our eyes and teach us something new about Himself, ourselves and how we can better serve Him.
