Choosing Grace

 Last year, I was hurt- deeply. And I refused to give grace for quite some time.  To be honest, there are days when I still struggle with it. But last month the Lord revealed to me how much grace has been given to me in this situation.

When an individual hurts you, I had always thought it was up to you to show them grace. Recently, I realized that isn’t the whole truth. Grace goes both ways. During the time I resisted giving grace, the time I clung to anger instead, I was really being covered in grace for my lack of faith. I had the choice of choosing grace or choosing anger, and I made the wrong choice. Yet I was still covered in grace.

I love this quote by Donald Miller. We all have imperfections and we all need grace.  It is up to us to choose the path of grace.
