Throughout life it is important to have someone you can turn to for counsel. As a child you go to a counselor to make sure you are doing well in school, as you grow older you look to elders to counsel you through hard times and one day you may even be a counselor to some one else. There is something so joyful about leaving a meeting with your counselor and knowing that you are on the right path in school, work or life (or leaving and knowing what you must do in order to get there). We are supposed to find that same joy in reading the Bible. It is God’s love letter to us and it is here to lead us through life.
“Your statutes are my delight;
they are my counselors.”
Psalm 119:24
