The Best Places for Dinner in Paris

You can hardly walk down a street in Paris without being captivated by the delicious scents wafting from one of the many restaurants and cafés. But in a city filled with so many delicious looking restaurants, how do you know where to actually go? There are literally thousands of restaurants worth visiting, but I’ve compiled a few recommendations based on my recent trips to this glorious city. So without further ado, here are a few of my suggestions:

  • Café Charlot {French} Great food & atmosphere. Sit outside, enjoy a glass of wine & soak up the Parisian charm.
  • Candelaria {Mexican} Thing tacos, guacamole and chips! Behind the back door you will also find a speakeasy bar.
  • Le Chalet de Nueuilly {French} I almost hesitate to share this one because I want it to remain a secret, but it is too good not to share. If you want the most incredible raclette experience- go here. We went with another French couple and shared half a wheel of cheese. I’m still dreaming of it. We were the only tourists in the entire restaurant.
  • La Couple {French} A restaurant filled with history & delicious food.
  • Le Comptoir de Relais {French} Come here for classic French food & an seat outside.
  • East Mama {Italian} They don’t take reservations, so arrive early to get your name on the list!
  • Le Georges {French} This restaurant sits atop the Centre Pompidou and has gorgeous views of the city.
  • Le Mary Celeste {Seafood} Make a reservation or arrive early!
  • Miznon {Middle Eastern} Falafel is notorious in Paris and this little hidden gem has some of the best pita bread in Paris!
  • Ober Mama {Italian} They don’t take reservations, so arrive early to get your name on the list!
  • Le Relais de L’Entrecôte {French} This restaurant is filled with both locals and tourist and is known for their steak & frites {fries}.
  • Verjus {French} Delicious & local. The food will speak for itself.

I love Paris, there is something about having a bottle of wine and people watching. Next time I am there I will have to try one of the restaurants on your list.

Great tips for one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
I agree, Paris is about enjoying and this includes food & drinking of course. Good overview, I thing Le Georges would be my personal favourite since once in Paris I would prefer French cuisine at its best.
