Words cannot convey how much we love our new home. On Friday we had a team bonding kayaking trip which took us about an hour and a half outside of our city. Goodness, it was STUNNING. The Lord truly spent some extra time on Thailand. While the country is still technically considered third world, the country side and the people are just lovely. {And I think our city leans closer to the second world- most of the time.}

There is a good chance I have cried more this past week then I have in months. Tears of joy, tears of thankfulness, tears of laughter, tears of love, tears of heartbreak, tears of excitement of what God is going to do. I got to pray over each of my students desks the other day and again, I just had tears streaming down my face. How can I love these 21 kids I have never met so much?

Today we found ourselves wandering around the city {instead of writing our final paper for grad school- oops… guess we will write it tomorrow}. It was the perfect day to explore. It was gorgeous! When we left there were only a few clouds in the sky so I grabbed my camera and we headed to the Wat to tour some more and to grab some lunch. Can you tell the Way Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan {วัดพระมหาธาตุวรมหาวิหาร} is one of my favorites? It is huge, gorgeous, built in 311 AD, and is always filled with monks. Apparently Buddha’s tooth is somewhere in the Wat.  And the people watching is wonderful there! Literally, I could sit and watch the people for hours. I cannot wait till we can speak Thai and can begin actually having a real conversation with them.

After the Wat we headed home and enjoyed a nice Thai thunderstorm. Praise the Lord!! When the rain comes we know we will have water to shower! And I don’t think anyone can complain about the cooler weather it brings and all the activities that open up for you when the weather is nice, for example rafting. You could venture and do rafting by visiting https://www.americanwhitewater.com/get-ready/american-river-classification.

Below are a few photos from today.

{And a huge thank you to all of you who have been praying for us.
The Lord has been so faithful and so many prayers have already been answered!!
Words cannot express how thankful I am for each and every one of you!
You truly, truly are a blessing!
We are currently praying for relationships, our kiddos,
and the wisdom in teaching as the first day of school approaches!!}
