It’s A…

It's a Well, it’s official! We are having a boy! The Arnold family will now be celebrating all things blue, bow ties & sports! {okay, I’m not a sports person- but I’m working on it…}

I have to admit, when we found out we were having a boy- I was completely shocked. We were thrilled and had no gender preference at all {well, I still think Caleb secretly hoped for a boy}, but based on my pregnancy symptoms I was convinced we were having a girl. But it’s a boy!!

The second we found out we were having a boy I began dreaming of all the fun adventures we are going to have as a family. From adventures around the world to ball games in Central Park. And to make the news a little sweeter, some of our best friends here in NYC are also pregnant with a little boy! I can’t wait to watch them grow up together!

We are so excited to be able to pray specifically for our little man and would love for you to join us in prayer!

Any book recommendations, parenting tips or overall fun recommendations?

 fun fact about this little photo shoot :: I returned home from Branson on Saturday, we found out the gender on Monday, scheduled a photoshoot for Tuesday and I’m writing this from an airplane at 10,000 feet on Wednesday. Needless to say, I was desperate to fit in a shoot & share the good news with you all before I left for a week in Arizona & California. There was no wiggle room for the shoot unless we waited two more weeks to share the exciting news- no thank you!

 So on Tuesday I picked up the fresh cotton candy and made my way to the Met Museum for the shoot. And naturally… the skies opened up and it began to pour. Like crazy down pour. The good news is the crowd began to disappear- quickly, the bad news was this gave us about 3 minutes of no rain and about 3 minutes of light rain to shoot between downpours. Therefore, our once HUGE, pretty cones of cotton candy quickly began to shrink into puny little cones of cotton candy. Even the humidity made it shrink drastically… I literally wish I had taken photos of the cotton candy to show the size comparison. It’s almost impressive how much they shrank.  But something is better than nothing, right? :)

    Big congrats to the whole family. Once your son arrives, nothing will be the same again, but you are going to enjoy life so much through your son’s eyes. I am so happy for everyone
