Just a Reminder

Have you really thought about your purpose recently? What were you created to do in this busy life? I know that amidst all of the craziness of life (jobs, relationships, tasks, class, etc) I often loose sight of my purpose. In fact, I really need a daily, hourly, reminder. I just wanted to take a moment today to remind you why you are here. You were created to draw others near to Him and to bring Him glory. Your ‘career’ is simply the venue you were given to live out that purpose. Please make an effort to remember that today. Be salt.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the
renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern
what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Romans 12:2

“You were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.”
1 Corinthians 6:20
“all things were created by him and for him.”
Colossians 1:16

You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
Matthew 6:13-16
