I came across this image on Pinterst and was instantly captivated by it. There is something so magical and majestic about this festival. Being the nerd I am, I quickly found myself googling what this celebration is. I learned this celebration takes place during the ‘Loi Krathong’ festival in Thailand on the night of the full moon in the twelfth lunar month. The traditional belief is that as these huge lanterns drift and float away, so do the troubles of the residents in the community.
