My 2018 Dream Travel Destinations

Every year Caleb & I sit down and set our goals for the year. While setting our goals, we also write down all of our dream travel destinations. There are so many beautiful places in the world and few things inspire me like visiting a foreign land or new destination for the first time! Our travel list is always a bit over ambitious, but simply dreaming of fun destinations brings me joy. {anyone else feel the same way about travel?}

As you may have seen in my 2017 highlights post, in the past 12 months we were able to visit seven countries {including three separate trips to Paris– my favorite city in the world} and over 10 states. And while my travelers heart would love to add seven more stamps into our passports this year, I know that is likely a tad over zealous since Bébé C will be joining on our new adventures. However, we have no plans to stop traveling! We already have one trip officially booked and have many other trips in the works!

What cities or countries are on your travel bucket list?

International

Bermuda :: We are actually headed here the last week of May & cannot wait to introduce our little guy to the beach!

Bora Bora :: This has been on Caleb’s bucket list for years and one day we WILL stay in one of those over-the-water bungalows!

Canada :: I’ve had my eye on Montreal for a while now. And I would love to take Caleb to Victoria.

Croatia :: The photos I’ve seen of the beaches and charming little cities have me absolutely swooning!!

Cuba :: The direct flight from NYC is only a couple of hours and I would love to see the culture and colors before everything changes!

England :: We love London, but would really love to spend time exploring the countryside!

France :: I would love to spend time in Southern France. I am dreaming of the lavender fields, seaside villages, rosé and quaint farmers markets!

Greece :: Everyone’s photos from here are simply magical! Would love to explore both the historic aspects and the beautiful beaches!

Italy :: I spent some time in Italy years ago, but would love to make it back with Caleb & Baby C! We have already begun making plans to make this trip happen in 2018! Any favorite city suggestions or itinerary tips?! Would love any suggestions!

Morocco :: My family and I visited here my freshman year of high school, but I would love to go back!

In the US

California :: To visit my parents in their new home in San Fransisco and my grandparents/aunts/uncles/cousins in both Southern California and Northern California.

Florida :: To visit my grandparents!

Georgia :: To visit my in laws, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents!

Maryland :: We’ve visited Annapolis the past couple of years and have fallen in love with it! Hoping we make it back again this summer!

Missouri :: For work and to spend time with family while we build our vacation home in Branson!

New England :: Does it get any more cliché than New England in the fall?

Niagara Falls :: Would love to make a trip out to the falls with family!

South Carolina :: I’m dying to make it to Charleston! It looks like the cutest city ever!!

Tennessee :: I love Chattanooga and hope to explore it with our little guy.

Texas :: My brother has lived in Austin for a few years now and we still have yet to visit him. Hopefully this will be the year!

Washington, DC :: Caleb & I have talked about making a trip out ever since we moved to NYC. Maybe this will be the year we finally make it!

Dream Travel Destinations

cape c/o Seraphine :: pants H&M  :: boots Steve Madden old, similar here
sweater Nordstrom {only $39 not maternity & I am wearing a small, also love this one on sale for $29}
beret from a boutique in Paris, similar here

I’ve worn this shawl by Seraphine almost a dozen times since I received it. While traveling I wore it as a shawl {seen above}, as a scarf and used it as a light blanket on my flight. It is so comfy and is such an easy item to throw on. I have a feeling it will be a go-to the remainder of this pregnancy and will be super useful when breastfeeding!  And let’s be honest, I will likely continue wearing it long after Baby C is born since the material is so soft and the piece is so versatile! And it will be perfect for transitioning from winter to spring {and spring to summer in NY}. The shawl also comes in a light tan latte color and a cable knit version in camel and charcoal.

Ohh congrats for your baby to come!! Traveling with your own kids is awesome but to be honest, I often miss the time when my husband and I could hike to the mountain tops walking several days, reading a good book by the beach, getting lost in big cities. When our daughter was younger it was grear as we just put her in a baby carrier and we could walk forever.
Now she is 25 month and prefer walking which takes forever and we always end up doing child friendly stuff. Which we love because when we see her smile our heart just fill with so much love…BUT as I said, I do miss a lot our old ways to explore!😂🙏
I hope you guys will find a great way to travel as family!
In 2018, we are leaving for a long-terme travel starting with a road trip in Europe…we cant wait!

Love your Paris photos! It’s been over a decade since I’ve visited and you’ve made me fall back in love! Your list is long but full of amazing places, including Morocco which I do hope I get to check off my list this year!

oh wow your pregnancy suits you. Congratulations. For Italy, I would highly recommend Tuscany. Obvious places like Siena, Pisa and Florence but also less obvious places like Lucca and the little towns further North. The further North in Tuscany, the cheaper it becomes. IN England, you should definitely visit York, the Lake District and Peak District which is not far from where I live.

Same here, at the start of the year, my husband and I always talk about the destinations we want to visit no matter how ambitious they seem to be! It’s easier to drive ourselves to those goals. Your 2017 travels are amazing but 2018 will be more exciting since you now have a baby to travel with! Great list you have here. I would love to visit Bora Bora, England, France, Greece, Italy, Morocco and New England! Adding Maldives, Scotland and Ireland to my list too. If you’re going to visit Canada, check Banff, the lakes and the Rockies! :)

Congrats for being pregnant and in your next travels you have got a little partner. I loved your wishlist, as I am also planning for Morocco and London this year. I traveled to Greece and Niagara Falls in 2017 and it is lovely and you would surely enjoy here.

You should come to Canada! Montreal is lovely, especially for the food. But Quebec City would be nice to explore too!
