Pink & Pumpkin

It is officially October! One of the most wonderful months of the year! As of today we may all cuddle up in our oversized sweaters, chunky scarves and leggings while sipping your favorite variation of a pumpkin drink (or in my case, black coffee with a dash of cinnamon) or snacking on pumpkin flavored snacks (yes, I have already begun dreaming of my favorite pumpkin chocolate chip cookies <I use less sugar & butter than called for and use dark chocolate chips> and the protein version I can’t wait to try)!

While these things are wonderful- my favorite thing about October is that the towns are painted pink! That’s right, it is Breast Cancer Awareness month! Since one of my grandmothers passed away from breast cancer (before I was born) and one of my other grandmothers has beat breast cancer (PTL), I am quite a fan of this month! (And in college my sorority’s philanthropy was breast cancer awareness). This month let us all come together in prayer- may we find a cure and defeat breast cancer!

It is on my bucket list to do the 3 day walk in Dallas for breast cancer and I know that one day the Lord will open the door to this opportunity. But until then, you and I can do our part by supporting my sweet friend Callyn who is doing it this year ( and ! She can use all the prayer, love and support she can get. Check out her page here!
