When you look back on your life, what stands out to you? I’m guessing you are thinking of adventures, experiences and moments of whimsy. Am I right? You remember the moments you said “yes.”
If you don’t know me, I am incredibly frugal. I am a big fan of following a budget. Caleb and I literally enter everything we spend each week into an excel budget sheet I made. {Thank you mom, dad & Dave Ramsey for teaching the importance of saving!} However, I’m learning more about the importance of saying yes- even when it doesn’t fit into my perfectly planned budget.
Life is short and I believe we should be making the most of it. When I look back at my life- I remember events, trips and fun things my family did together growing up. I remember the times we said “yes.” This summer, I am embracing the yes! Of course, I will maintain my budgeting and still firmly believe in the importance of saving. But I want to continue making more memories. I don’t want to look back at my life and wonder “what if.” Do you? Let’s choose to say yes!
