How I’m Staying Fit While Pregnant

I fell in love with yoga when I was living in Thailand a few years ago, but haven’t practiced much since returning to New York.  In August, my love of yoga was renewed when my blogger babes and I were invited for a private class at Inner Light Yoga in Nashville {a serious must-do when in Nashville}. The studio and the class were both so inspiring I’ve been on a serious yoga kick ever since returning to the city. I can already feel my muscles getting more lean and fit!

Since getting pregnant I haven’t had tons of energy and my morning sickness still comes and goes quite often. {I thought morning sickness was supposed to end with the first trimester??} Needless to say, yoga has been the one workout my body actually enjoys during pregnancy.  Yoga has been instrumental in helping me stay fit while pregnant. I’m attempting to practice yoga at least 3 times a week and am walking more than ever. Since I’ve been practicing yoga more frequently, I’ve noticed my yoga gear needs some serious upgrading. I’m determined to stay committed to yoga throughout the duration of my pregnancy and need gear that will grow with me {both in size and in skill}.

What are some of your favorite yoga brands?

This is making me feel pretty ashamed! You’re out there getting your exercise on while pregnant… not sure why my excuse is! haha I do love yoga at home, but I’d love to find a really great class.

I am on and off with yoga and wish I could stick to it on a more consistent schedule. I do go to the gym and do other activities, but really want to incorporate yoga more. I should be doing it at home too! One of my favorite places to buy yoga clothes is Athleta :)

I’ve only “sort of” tried yoga once, and it was actually yoglates, yoga and pilates into one. You’re a beast girl. I only pray I’m able to stay fit when I have kids in the future!

This is such a cute Yoga studio!! I love that all the blogger babes are doing it together as a bonding exercise. I’m quite an avid yoga practitioner given that Yoga studios are dime a dozen in LA and I go to this Yoga Sculpt class where they combine weights with yoga all together in a 102F room. You sweat, you burn calories and build muscles, save me time to go to gym.

I haven’t actually ever done a dedicated yoga class but I regularly do a class at my gym called body balance and they incorporate yoga and I love it! x
It’s amazing that you’re still being active whilst pregnant x

Really happy I stumbled across your blog x
