There is No Use Walking

Something I have struggled with in the past is compartmentalizing my life. Do I still compartmentalize my life? Yes, absolutely. But the more I set my eyes on Jesus, the more the lines fade. Having been raised in a Christian home I knew all the right ‘Christian’ responses growing up and I knew how to act depending on who I was with. At church I was one person, with my friends another, and at work another. But as a follower of Christ we are called to be imitators of Jesus. And to Jesus work, play, and ministry were all one in the same. So why should it be any different for us?
.
I love this quote by Francis of Assisi. “It is no use walking anywhere to preach unless our walking is our preaching.” Our number one call as a Christian is to bring glory to Him by making disciples. Our walking, talking, and living should be preaching. Every aspect of our lives should be songs of praise! He is still working wonders in me and it is my daily prayer that people would see more of Him and less of me in my life.
“He must become greater; I must become less.”
