Does anyone else love the start of a new year? As another year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the past and eagerly anticipating the future. There’s something magical about the start of a new year – a fresh slate filled with endless possibilities. And I believe there is power in not only writing down your goals, but also publicly sharing them. So here are my goals for 2025! Do you set goals?
Relationships
- Date night once a month: This year I want to prioritize quality time with my husband. We were better about having intentional date nights in 2024, but I want to be better about it in 2025.
- Have 1-on-1 time with each kid at least once a week: I love my boys, but our weeks get so busy I hardly get to spend intentional 1-on-1 time with each boy. This year, that is going to change- even if it’s only 30 minutes.
- Continue building our community: I adore the community we’ve built here. I want to continue investing in these relationships and continue expanding our circle.

Learning
- Read at least 1 book a month: I love reading, but read a lot less once I had kids. I’m back into reading and want to start reading more for both fun and learning!
- Listen to at least 1 podcast a week: I love listening to podcasts and would make this goal higher, but I really want to work on goal number 3.
- Practice French daily: We are headed to France with the boys this year, so I want to complete 1 french lesson every day between January 1 and the day we depart! These lessons are 30 minutes without stops and I often have to do them twice. So I need to wake up earlier to achieve this goal.
Health
- Cook at home 5 times a week: Cooking has never been my strong suit. This year- I’m changing that!
- Stretch/yoga at least 3 times a week: I’ve lost so much of my flexibility and this year I’m determined to get it back (although I’m not expecting to be able to do the splits anymore… ha)
- Do Pvolve at least 1x time a month: I love how Pvolve is low impact but really helps tone my muscles. I got out of the habit of doing Pvolve and need to bring it back.

Personal
- Wake up earlier: I really need the extra 30-60 minutes in the morning to achieve my goals and for my mental health.
- Explore 3 new cities: I’m so excited we are taking the boys to France and are finally making it to Southern France! Anyone have tips on where to go, what to do, what to see, etc?
- Less screen time: I really want to limit my phone screen time specifically.
- Create a family yearbook: Every year it is a goal of mine to make a family photo book. Maybe I can use AI to go through my phone and start doing it for past years- is that a thing?
Faith
- Start our Bible study with our friends: We’ve been talking about doing this for ages and our busy schedules just haven’t made it happen yet. This is the year!
- Spend more time in the Word each morning: I start each day with a small devotional, but would love to spend more time in the Word.
- Improve my prayer life: My prayer life has dwindled in recent years and I would love to see it return.

Work
- Write at least 1 blog post a week: I’ve always loved blogging and reading other’s blogs. It’s like a little personal journal of our lives- and I love that!
- Post at least 1 feed Instagram post a week: Again, this is mostly for myself, as I’ve used it as a personal journal of our lives.
- Post at least 3 TikToks a day on weekdays: I’ve really started to love Tiktok! It feels so casual and fun!
What is one of your goals for 2025?

I think these are amazing goals! They’re all the kinds of things that are easily achievable but can make such a big impact on life.
One of my goals is to eat healthier and I’m doing pretty well so far. It is a true blessing to see another year to be honest and I look forward to achieving more of my goals this year. I love the spend time with family, more prayer, and less screen time…you have a beautiful family!
These are some great goals for the year! I want to read more books this year, Like you, maybe once a month!
