Branson, Missouri will always hold such a special place in my heart. I grew up visiting Branson, met my husband in Branson, and got married in Branson. And I love getting to take my two boys there now!
Whether you’re looking for adventure, relaxation, or simply time to slow down and soak in the beauty of the Ozarks, Branson has something for everyone – especially families with kids!
After spending countless weekends here with our boys, I thought I’d share some of our favorite things to do in Branson with kids. Consider this your little family guide to making the most of your trip. Here’s everything we love to do in Branson with kids!
1. Silver Dollar City
This is hands-down one of our favorite places in Branson! Silver Dollar City isn’t just a theme park – it’s an experience. From thrilling rides for the big kids (and parents!) to gentler rides and play areas for the little ones, there’s something for all ages. Our boys love the roller coasters, but they also adore watching craftsmen create glass art and candy-making demonstrations. And if you go in the summer, the water rides are a must! And Silver Dollar City and Christmas REALLY is magic!
2. Table Rock Lake
Branson summers were made for the lake! Rent a boat, go tubing, or just splash along the shoreline. We’ve had some of the sweetest family days packed with laughter, sunscreen, and a cooler of snacks while exploring Table Rock Lake. Even if you don’t want to rent a boat, you can spend the day at Moonshine Beach – it has a sandy shoreline that feels like a mini beach vacation right in the Ozarks.
3. Dolly Parton’s Stampede
This dinner show is always a hit with kids! Horses, stunts, music, and a hearty dinner you eat with your hands (which my boys think is hilarious) – what’s not to love? It’s high-energy and keeps kids engaged the whole time. Plus, there’s something about Dolly’s heart for family fun that shines through the entire experience.
4. Aquarium at the Boardwalk
Branson has a new(ish) aquarium that our family loves! From walking through a tunnel surrounded by fish to watching seahorses and jellyfish, it’s such a fun and interactive spot. The kids love the touch pools and the colorful displays that make learning about marine life exciting. We’ve been to aquariums around the world and this one is my favorite- I love the size and attractions inside!
5. Branson Landing
If you’re looking for a mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment, the Landing is perfect. We like grabbing ice cream and strolling along the boardwalk by Lake Taneycomo. Be sure to catch the fountain show set to music and lights – it’s magical for little ones and relaxing for us parents.
6. Put Put
Do I love playing put put? No, ha. But my boys love it and even I have to admit the courses in Branson are pretty cool! And we usually pop over and do the Ferris Wheel after!
8. Enjoy our vacation rental
We love renting homes instead of hotel rooms when we travel as a family. There is nothing better than coming home to ample space after a day spent exploring. Caleb and I also love relaxing in the hot tub while the boys play games. We always rent one of these homes!
More than anything, what I love about Branson is that it’s a place where we can truly be present as a family – laughing together, exploring together, and making memories that we’ll carry with us long after the trip is over.
