10 Things on My Summer Bucket List

Anyone else love seasonal bucket lists? Each year it seems as though I blink and the summer flies by. Now that we’ve hit the {un}official first day of summer {Memorial Day}, it’s time to start checking things off our summer bucket list. Some of these things will be easy to do, others might take more planning. Here are 10 things on my summer bucket list!

What’s on your summer bucket list?

  1. Give Cayson his first popsicle :: we might even make it at home so I know exactly what is in it- anyone have a good recipe?
  2. Picnic in Central Park :: This used to be a common event for us when we lived uptown. Now it will be a little bit of a trek up and Cayson now runs around, but I’m sure he will love it!
  3. Take Cayson swimming in an outdoor pool :: Cayson has swim lessons at an indoor pool, but there is just something about swimming outside with the sun shining on your face
  4. Visit the beach :: I’m thinking Montauk, the Hamptons, or maybe even as far as Nantucket?
  5. Grill more often on our rooftop :: Trader Joe’s has some amazing salmon right now and we’ve made it a few times, but I want to do it more often!
  6. Go to Branson :: Growing up my brother and I attended camp in Branson and in college I worked at camp as a counselor {that’s actually where Caleb & I met}. My parents have properties out there now, so we want to take Cayson for his first Branson summer experience!
  7. Take Cayson to the Central Park Zoo :: We’ve walked through it, but have never gone IN to actually see the animals.
  8. Go to the splash pad with Cayson :: Cayson loves water {when it is warm}. I can’t wait to see how he reacts to the splash pad!
  9. Play with bubbles :: This is another experience Cayson really hasn’t had much of. I want to take bubbles with us to the park and play with them more often!
  10. Take more videos :: At one point my goal was to create 1 YouTube video a month. Well, life happened and videos just didn’t make the cut. But I really do want to video more and create videos of Cayson’s childhood and our lives in NYC. Do you follow any YouTuber’s who create fun videos worth watching for inspiration?

on me
top :: shorts old, similar here :: shoes c/o :: hat from Positano, similar here
glasses c/o :: lip color

    I was in Central Park walking by Bethesda Fountain yesterday. The music was beautiful because there was a quartet singing in the alley. The acoustics are wonderful. What struck me most was the kids playing with the HUGE bubbles being made by this guy with a bucket of soapy water and two huge poles. The bubbles were bigger than the kids. Cayson would love chasing the bubbles at Bethesda Fountain.
