Have you ever read either “Wild at Heart” or “Captivating” by John & Stasi Eldredge? If yes, then you know how incredible both those books are. If not, those are two books you must go pick up! Technically “Wild at Heart” is written for men and “Captivating” is written for women. But I highly recommend reading them both. They each give such great insight to a man’s heart and a woman’s heart.
The Eldredge’s say that for both men and women the journey begins with your heart. Another way of saying this is that the journey begins with desire. We desire to be romanced, we desire to play an irreplaceable role in a great adventure, & we desire to unveil beauty. Do you notice a common theme among these three things?
They all include others.
They are relational.
Our lives are meant to be lived with others.
Today I want to encourage you to be relational. Let the Lord romance you (or romance your loved one), take part in adventure (this could be going on a vacation, starting a business, volunteering, having kids, etc.), and unveil beauty (personally, I view this as the beauty the Lord has put in my heart. He is the beauty in me).
{I think this song by Bethany Dillion perfectly depicts beauty}
Beautiful
“I want to be beautiful
And make you stand in awe
Look inside my heart
And be amazed
I want to hear you say
Who I am is quite enough
I just want to be worthy of love
And beautiful.”

An oldie but a goodie is Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. You may have read it, but it’s Christian Fiction. My all-time favorite is her Mark of the Lion Trilogy, historical Christian fiction. So many layers of good stuff. I could go on and on about books! :-)
Wild at Heart is one of my favorite books Chloe.
I know! Thank you for introducing it to me!
Your blog is amazing and I absolutely love it and the name! I believe we are all beyond blessed and should make an attempt to regularly focus on our blessings every day. <3. There is beauty all around us even when it may not seem that way! It's there and we can practice seeing it even when it's hard. Keep up the beautiful work! :-D
You are far too sweet! Your comment just brightened my day :) You are right- we are all so blessed. The problem is we often choose to overlook those blessings! Have a wonderful evening! Be blessed!
