Is there anything better than a quintessential fall day? There is something magic about the cool crisp air, fall scents, the vibrant colors of the changing foliage, and ending the day cuddled up with a cup of something warm.
Now that it is officially fall, I wanted to share 5 ways I’m preparing for fall in our home.
1.) Pura Fall Fragrances :: Can you think of anything more inviting than walking into a beautifully scented space? In NYC we kept a Pura near the entry way so our guests were greeted by our signature scent. We always received compliments about how good our apartment smelled! Now that we are in a larger home, we have a couple Pura diffusers placed strategically around our home. And now that it is officially fall, we’ve traded our summer scents for a few of our favorite fall scents. NEST has historically been one of our favorite brands, but the Thymes and LAFCO scents are always close runner ups! The first fall scents I purchased this year were the Nest Pumpkin Chai and White Gilded Pumpkin. And I would 100% purchase them again. They make our home smell like the perfect fall day! I also have my eye on the Cranberry Fizz, Pumpkin Dulce, Spiced Pomander, Autumn Plum and Simmered Cider {don’t they all sound so warm & inviting?}. Mid/late November I’ll add Woodland Spruce and Fresh Balsam & Cedarwood to our rotation. If you see a seasonal scent that sparks your fancy, grab it ASAP- some of the seasonal scents sell out fast!
2.) Buy pumpkins & mums :: I am beyond excited that we finally have an outdoor front entryway! After living in NYC the better part of the last decade, I’ve been itching to have a front entrance to decorate.
3.) Updated Sleepwear :: To say I love this short sleeve/short pajama set would be an understatement. I have it in multiple colors. But now that the weather is beginning to turn, I’m trading my shorts/short sleeves for the long sleeve & pants version! {Use the code ChloeBArnold40 for 40% off}
4.) Baking :: I’ve already made this pumpkin chocolate chip recipe 3 times this year. It’s THAT good!
5.) Fall Decor :: Growing up, our dining table was the heart of our home. No matter how busy our schedules were, we always had family dinner together. And my dad always made sure our table was decorated {a tradition he learned from his mom}. Now, I love to keep a seasonal table runner on our dining table. I love buying table runners when I travel, but sometimes you just can’t beat a basic fall themed runner like this one or this one.

Yessss! I love your ideas and agree with decorating and getting pumpkins! I have yet to try mums perhaps this year is the year. My son and I also are getting ready to make festive treats. We have cookies, muffins and donuts on our list! I can’t wait!

You have to have mums and pumpkins when fall rolls around. It’s a law of nature or something. Also, flannel can’t be forgotten!
Baking and decorating are my two absolute favorite things about fall. I LOVE getting the house looking and feeling all cozy.
I’ve already gotten my front porch all squared away for the season, and yes, it did involve mums and pumpkins. LOL. I mean, they’re just so classic, right?
Hhhhmmmm…I like the ideas of stocking on pumpkin and baked items you have made. You will have a fantastic fall!
I love baking this time of the year! The house doesn’t get so hot from the oven being on and it brings back memories of my great grandma baking cookies for the holidays.
Pumpkins have definitely become a part of our fall as well. We tend to like to make pumpkin seeds and decorate with pumpkins.
A updated sleepwear is very important. It’s colder now, so we need something to warm us up.
There are so many great options for fall baking. I need to try to make a few things with the kids as they love to bake with me.
That Puro device sounds awesome! I’ve never heard of it before. I like how it looks; different from traditional air fresheners. I love fall and it is fun to get ready for it.
Wow, that’s amazing! It’s one of the most interesting topics I’ve ever heard about! The information you provided is very helpful. Thanks for sharing it with me.
