Face to Face (Day 6)

shame/SHām/
Noun: A painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behavior.

Do you enjoy the feeling of being humiliated? Do you enjoy having a guilty conscious that fills you with distress? And notice that shame is also associated with “wrong or foolish behavior.”

Usually, we put ourselves to shame. But how would you feel knowing that God put you to shame? There will be a day when we are face to face with our Creator and I pray that you and I are not put to shame. Are you (am I) following His commands? Or are you being the noun described above?

“Then I would not be put to shame
when I consider all your commands”
Psalm 119:6

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
Timothy 2:15
