Our Ceremony

As our first anniversary is around the corner I am reminiscing.

I love wedding ceremonies. There are few things more beautiful than watching a man and a woman commit their lives to one another before their family, friends, and God. What I love even more than watching it- doing it!

Here are 5 things that made our ceremony even more special to me:

  1. I married my best friend (obvious I know)
  2. My dad walked me down the aisle (for as long as I can remember my dad and I have gone on evening walks together. And as cliché as it is- this walk was my favorite :) )
  3. We had an ‘In Loving Memory’ candle for my dad’s mother whom I never got to meet. My dad, his sister, and his brother all got up and lit it together
  4. My Husband’s cousin is a pastor and he is the one who conducted the ceremony
  5. All 4 of our parents got up and prayed over us prior to officially becoming husband and wife

The whole event was beautiful (yes, I may be a little bit biased). Looking back I wouldn’t change a thing!

{Check back on Saturday to see more fun from our wedding}

    I may have cried when you said that all four of your parents prayed over you!!! If i ever get the honor of being a mother, I can’t wait to do that!! My family doesn’t know the Lord in that way but its awesome to see how yours does!! It made my heart melt!! Happy Wednesday and Happy Anniversary!

      I still get teary eyed looking over them ha! Thank you. I’ll be praying for your family and that they come to know our Heavenly Father! You would make a great mother one day!

    I really liked the photo of your prayer circle–you had a beautiful wedding. God’s blessings as you celebrate your first year together!
