I love how God uses other people and experiences to bless us and to show us His love for us. Over the past year I feel as though the Lord has used Caleb as an instrument to tangibly show me His love for me. Although being in a long distance relationship is not ideal, I have learned to look for the benefits of it.
Because Caleb and I live in different states we truly value the time that we do have together. Every minute together is a blessing and we do not take it for granted. While he was working at Kamp this summer we were able to communicate even less (which was even less ideal) but again we searched for a benefit. During the duration of his time at Kamp we were forced to take a lot of focus off of our relationship and had more time to focus on the Lord.
I cannot wait to begin my life with my best friend and for all of the wonderful blessings the Lord has in store for the two of us!
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.”
