Confession

Confession- I am one of those people who maps out their day down to the hour (or almost down to the hour). Each day I figure out what I need to do and when I need to do it in order to be most successful. Today as I was working out I began to realize I have let my schedule become a routine and have left very little room to focus on anything other than my tasks for the day. I have forgotten my purpose… OUR purpose. I have forgotten that each event on my agenda is an opportunity for me to show God’s love and to praise the Lord. If I am being honest with you, it’s been a while since I have stopped and spent a good amount of time praising and thanking the Lord.

Previously I blogged about the fact that in the year 2011 we have 525,600 minutes to spend however we please. How have you spent the first 262,800 minutes? I know that I need to be a lot more intentional. Now that we are in June we have about 262,800 minutes left. And yes, every minute counts. You never know who is watching, who you are impacting and most importantly remember who you are praising. I have a purpose, you have a purpose… Are we living with a purpose? What steps must you take to get where you want to be?

“I run straight to the goal with purpose in every step.” 1 Corinthians 9:26

“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God and there we will receive mercy and we will find grace to help us when we need it” Hebrews 4:16

Hi, yes, we look for distractions to pacify and bring us joy. As if the Holy Spirit were not enough.

I pray for the storms of life to bring me closer to my heart. Where He is.

    Blessings

      Mitchell,

Sadly that is so true. Luckily the closer we get to the Lord the more we yearn to know Him more.

      Be blessed
