As of today I hung up my fourth post-it note. How are you doing so far with focusing on one verse a day? I don’t know about you, but I’m loving it!
“1 Blessed are they whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to the law of the Lord.
2 Blessed are they who keep his statutes
and seek him with all their hearts.
3 They do nothing wrong;
they walk in his ways.
4 You have laid down precepts
That are to be fully obeyed”
Psalm 119:1-4
- Day 1- We learned how blessed those are who walk according to God’s word
- Day 2-We learned how blessed those are who keep his commandments and seek Him with ALL their heart
- Day 3- We learned that these “blessed” people follow the Lord in all they do, they do not live for themselves but for God
- Day 4- We learned that God gave us his commandments and tells us to follow ALL of them
Are you seeing a pattern? It seems the Lord is really emphasizing how important it is to follow His Word. But how can we know if we are “walking according to the law of the Lord,” “keep[ing] his statutes,” “do[ing] nothing wrong,” or fully obey[ing]” His Word if we do not read it our self?
Today I encourage you to set apart at least 10 minutes to read your Bible/pray. What has the Lord been trying to teach you these past four days? Are you living these verses out the way the Lord intended for you to?
