Have you ever had one of those days where you feel as though you are dreaming? The past few days I can’t help but marvel at the Lord’s splendor. We have been praying for this beautiful, broken city for a year. And now we are here. And it brings us so much joy. It is dirty, it is crowded, and hardly anyone speaks any English. We have mosquitos and geckos in our bedroom and the plumbing is inconsistent {if we have water at all- which our city apparently loses often}. But we love it. When the Lord calls you somewhere, it just feels right.
We just started training for our job and if I am being honest, I am nervous. I don’t know anything about teaching third grade. But the Lord does. The Lord brought us here and I know He will speak/work through me. He equips us. I am clinging to that.
The Lord is using Nakhon to stretch us, to mold us. Everything is different here. And I am praying that the Lord will use this place to make us different. To transform us more into His image.
I cannot wait to meet our precious little kiddos. I cannot wait to look them in the eye and share the love of Christ. I pray that the Lord uses me to impact them for His glory, just as I know they will impact me. My heart pounds just thinking about them.
I am so excited to continue sharing photos and tidbits from this adventure. From the Lord’s adventure. God is good!
all these pictures are so beautiful!
I taught 3rd grade for two years. I would be more than happy to help in any way that I can so feel free to contact me! Not sure how what I know could translate to what you will be doing there, but I can for sure brainstorm with you and give you resources!
Love that y’all are on this adventure, and I am so excited to follow your
journey. Blessings and much love from the States! He is good!
I loved going through your posts and pictures…what an adventure! Praying for all the different aspects of your time in Thailand, and so excited to watch you both grow in the Lord together!
