Our Exciting News is…

Caleb & I could not be any more excited
about this next chapter of our lives!!!
The Lord has been so faithful & continues to surprise us & bless us daily.
We are unbelievably grateful and thankful for this opportunity.
God is so good.

The Lord knows the desires of our hearts
and He truly does provide and work in mysterious ways.
He has continually reminded us that His timing is always better
and that His plans always far exceed our own.
He has been preparing Caleb & myself for this next step
our entire lives and yet we can still claim
Ephesians 3:20 in utter amazement.

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more
than all we ask or imagine,
according to His power that is at work
within us.”

The Lord began to stir Caleb’s heart for the people of Thailand in 2009.
He was still in college and began taking classes to learn about the culture & the language.
He was supposed to go teach in Thailand in 2010,
but the Lord surprised him & changed his plans.
{I’m very thankful for this change- we began dating while he was supposed to be in Thailand}

While my heart was never specifically set on Thailand,
I have always loved studying other religions & cultures.
In college I studied international religious studies & social sciences.
I’m blessed that my parents exposed me to international cultures at a young age
& my heart has yearned to see the world ever since.
I truly believe that we are each made in God’s image
and I believe that we can see a glimpse of how omnipotent He is
by looking at how vastly different our world and our cultures are.
We each reflect His image in different ways.

As a married couple the Lord began preparing our hearts at Kanakuk’s KWest Kamp.
Here we had the opportunity to serve middle school students & staff alongside one another.
It was here that our passion for students really began to grow even stronger.
After we were married we spent our first year of marriage at the Kanakuk Institute.
The Institute is a Bible study & discipleship program.
Words cannot convey our thankfulness of our time here.
We got to spend 23 hours a day/7 days a week together while
zealously digging into the Word.
We were covered in wisdom & were taught by some of the most incredible teachers.

Currently, we are living just north of Dallas, Texas.
The Lord has continued to prepare our hearts here.
We have become active again at The Village Church
and have found ourselves surrounded by incredible community.
We love our home group
& serving alongside our friends.
We are in the midst of going through the Sending Program at The Village!
We are beyond grateful to be covered in so much prayer, love, and wisdom.

Our next chapter begins in April.
We will be moving to Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand.
We have signed a one year contract but do not currently have plans to return to the US.
We are waiting to see where and when the Spirit moves.
Words cannot convey how excited we are
to serve our students, our coworkers, and our new community.

In Acts 2 & 3 we see Peter and John
living life alongside nonbelievers.
They were intentional about meeting their neighbors where they were.
Peter and John proclaimed Jesus through both their lifestyle & their words.
And that is exactly what we plan on doing.

Nakhon Si Thammarat is the city where Buddhism entered the country.
97% of our community are Buddhist,
2% are Islamic,
and 1% are Christian or other.

We are excited about the opportunity
to open our home to our neighbors while living in Thailand.
We want our home to be a place of fellowship
& a place where others feel welcome.
It is our prayer that others will experience the love of Christ in our home.

We appreciate each of you more than you know.
Each time you comment or email me, my heart is so encouraged!
We will continue to keep you updated on this website.
If you are new to this site, there is an area to the right where you
can share your email with us.
By sharing your email you will receive notifications
when we post something new.
{no spam, don’t worry}
And continue to cover us in prayer!

Wow! What a wonderful and exciting opportunity! I am from Tyler, TX and our story sounds very similar. My husband and I were called to Peru in 2009. We have been living here for 5 years and God has blessed us in so many unexpected ways! We live amongst our neighbors and friends in community- much like the Acts church. I am praying that God will lead you clearly in this new chapter of your life! Will be following you to know how I can pray specifically!

    Blessings!
