Good Bye America- Hello Uganda!

I have previously blogged about my little brother and his mission trips. Well I’m going to take a moment to brag about him once again! :)  This past Friday night he graduated from Liberty Christian School and today he officially leaves for Uganda with some of the kids from his high school.  He will be spending the first half of his summer serving the Lord by spreading His word, building a high school and ministering to the orphanage they will be living near.

For those of you who know my brother or me well, you may know that this past month has been crazy for him. A month ago he was long boarding (basically that is a stretched skateboard that goes extremely fast down hills), fell and hit his head and was knocked out. This accident resulted in seizures, an ambulance ride to the ICU and time in the hospital. Two weeks after this he was in a minor fender bender in his high school parking lot. Well this minor fender bender messed up his tire enough that as he was driving home, the tire exploded and caused his car to flip more than one full rotation and do a 180. The Lord was watching Cameron and he climbed out of his trucks back window without a scratch. God and his seat belt saved his life.

So as he goes off on this next adventure, he will be surrounded by prayers. We would deeply appreciate it if you would keep him in your prayers. I couldn’t be more proud of him and the ways the Lord is going to use him over the next few years.

Learn to do right; seek justice.
   Defend the oppressed.
Take up the cause of the fatherless;
   plead the case of the widow.

Isaiah 1:17
