Grace is Free, but not Cheap

grace is free beyond blessed blog

Anyone else looking forward to the holiday weekend?! My brother and his girlfriend are flying in from Austin and I could not be more excited! Our weekend will be filled with family time, making bonnets for the Fifth Avenue Easter Bonnet Parade {follow along on snapchat or instagram @ChloeBArnold- I’m sure we will look quite silly!}, good food & of course, rejoicing in the fact that Jesus paid the price for our sins!

So often we get caught up in the celebration that the actual meaning of each holiday gets lost. So today {Maundy Thursday- the last supper}, let’s choose to remember the reason for our celebrations. Let’s intentionally spend a few extra minutes around the dinner table and give thanks for Jesus. Let’s break bread and drink wine with those we cherish. Because of this Easter holiday we can receive the ultimate gift- grace.

Fun fact about Maundy Thursday from Devotionals Daily:  Today is Maundy Thursday (or Holy Thursday), the day Jesus celebrated the Passover, the Last Supper with His disciples. The derivation of the word Maundy comes from the Latin word “command” and refers to what Jesus called us to do when He washed the feet of His disciples — love and serve one another.  // {Thanks dad for sending this devotional to me!}
