Paris is hands down one of my favorite cities in the world. Between the iconic landmarks, classic cafés, plethora of museums and shopping galore- the city really does have something for everyone. And when you visit a city that has so much to offer, you need to make sure you stay in a central location with easy access to all of your must-see items. So where should you stay when you visit Paris?
We recently stayed at the Hotel Napoleon and could not have loved it more! From the staff to the interior design, every detail was carefully thought out. And as someone who comes from a family of entrepreneurs in the vacation rental industry, I have a soft spot for family owned or boutique hotels. So I loved knowing the Hotel Napoleon is one of the only 5 star boutique hotels in the city. And the location doesn’t get much better.
The hotel is located right by the Arc de Triomphe and many of the rooms offer gorgeous views of the iconic landmark. {Some people say the hotel even has the closest outdoor patio to the Arc de Triomphe!} And incase you think waking up to views of the Arc de Triomphe isn’t magical enough on its own, many of the rooms on higher floors even have views of the Eiffel Tower. Morning coffee views really don’t get any better.
Our experience at the Hotel Napoleon really began the moment our taxi turned down the street and our eyes first landed on both the hotel’s traditional Parisian architecture and the Arc de Triomphe. We arrived in the evening so both the landmark and the hotel were lit up and shining. It literally felt like a scene from a movie. The staff instantly grabbed our bags and helped us check in. We were then brought up to our room.
Having visited Paris a plethora of times and coming from NYC, I was expecting the room to be on the smaller side- in true European/big-city style. I could not have been more wrong. The door opened to welcome us to an entry hall, a large bathroom area, a seating area, a work desk and a huge bed. The room colors were rich and inviting. After soaking in the beautiful decor, I finally made my way to the windows. I’m pretty sure my heart skipped a beat when I first saw the Arc de Triomphe from our window. There is something magical about staring at the landmark from so close, but in the comfort of your own indoor space.
Then I made my way to the other windows and found myself at a loss for words. The Eiffel Tower literally started sparkling the moment I opened the windows. And I became giddy once I realized I would finally be able to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle at 1 AM! {It sparkles differently at 1 AM than at any other hour and I’m always either asleep or in a part of the city where I couldn’t see it at that time. And really, it doesn’t get any better than watching her sparkle from your bedroom in your PJs.}
We started each morning with breakfast at the hotel and highly, highly recommend you do the same. Not only is the dining room absolutely swoon-worthy, but the staff were incredible and the food was divine. They had everything from croissants, bacon and eggs to fresh fruit, yogurt and cheese. On our first morning one of the staff members even noticed my pregnant belly and brought over a sweet little gift for us! I mean, seriously- does customer service get any better?! The hotel has a beehive on the roof and produces their own honey, so they have little stuffed animal bees. Our Hotel Napoleon bee is now sitting & waiting for Baby C to arrive.
The Hotel Napoleon was the perfect home base for our time in Paris and we are already dreaming up our return!
We even had the opportunity to tour the hotel and see a few of the other rooms.
Each room in the hotel is different from the next, but each one is absolutely stunning! See more of the hotel in our video!

Oh wow, this looks like a stunning hotel in Paris. It’s been a long time since I went to Paris, which is silly on my part, as it’s only 45 minutes by plane! I will definitely consider staying at Hotel Napoleon; those view of the Arc de Triomphe are stunning.
These are some very beautiful impressions of one of the most impressive spots in Paris. I must say you couldn`t have made it better with such a room and such a view, must have been truly amazing. The classy style and antique chic of the Hotel looks so inviting. Makes me almost feel the spirit of Paris some hundreds of yeara ago. And of course croissants for a French breakfast is a must have, looks very delicious!
Hotel Napolean has impressive Parisian architecture and soothing interiors. The view from your room and even from terrace is mind blowing. As this is located very close to Arc de Triomphe, I would definitely opt for this hotel. I love Arc de Trimphe area, as it has lots of eatouts, cafes and shopping area.
First of all congrats for your belly and you parents to be! You look great aswell!
The hotel Napoleon by the Arc de Triomphe looks like to be an old but very beautful historic museum with old paintings on the wall. The view is to die for with the Eiffel tower on the background! How lucky to be able to stay in such a place! We never get afford to something like this.
Hotel Napoleon look amazing, and has fantastic views of Paris as well as the Eifell Tower. Paris is a great place to explore and there’s always something new you haven’t heard of. I remember I explored Paris for one week when I was there 20 years ago. I bet that know the city is even more attractive and new things and places have opened. I hope your upcoming baby like Paris, too.
There is something about seeing the Eiffel Tower sparkling in the AM compared the early evening. The Hotel Napoleon looks amazing and with that room and those views, you were definitely spoiled. We love Paris as well. It’s such an amazing city! Best wishes with the baby :)
Your photos make me want to book a weekend in Paris! :( Good choice on the hotel! The views from your room are AMAZING. The breakfast looks so delicious. Best of all, the excellent customer service! I loved how they gave you a little surprise gift because they saw that you were pregnant. This will certainly be on our hotel options once we set a date for our Paris trip. By the way, you look so Parisian with the scarf and the Eiffel Tower on the background! 😉
This is such a cute hotel! And the view is beautiful! The breakfast looks also very yummy
The place looks absolutely beautiful. For one, it is comfortable and second – I love the whole luxurious feel. The best part about it is the location that is prime and allows you such magnificent views. Cheers
