2022 seems to be a year of big news! In March we announced we were finally moving out of New York City. We absolutely adored our life in the city, but after the better part of decade in NYC, it was time for us to leave. So in March we packed up our 900 square foot, 2 bedroom apartment on the 14th floor in Manhattan and moved to a 4 bedroom farm house on 14 acres in the country. We quickly found schools for the boys, I joined a couple of mom groups, and we hit the ground running.
Then in August we flew out to California to visit family. {If you’re new here- I was actually born in Newport Beach and my mom’s whole family still lives in California, mostly SoCal.} Well after a week of chasing the boys on the beach, enjoying the perfect weather, watching the boys play with their cousins, we made a decision. It was time.
We are moving to California!
We are officially setting down roots.
We purchased a home in Orange County, CA!
Now I need your tips! What are some of your favorite home decor companies, go to stores, favorite brands, tips, tricks and all the details! This is the first time I will be decorating a space knowing we will be there for the long run!
You’ll start seeing more home decor, before and afters and interior posts both here and on social media- so stay tuned for some fun updates!

I can’t wait to see all of your updates! It’s such an exciting time for you!
Beyond Blessed is the perfect name for your blog, because you are! What an amazing time in your life right now. This is amazing!
What a big move, congratulations! My whole family is in SW Florida and I’m in Houston. I miss Florida terribly and after the hurricane just hit there it made me realize how much my heart is still in SW Florida and we are looking at options for moving there in a few years. Having family nearby is so important!
How exciting. Can’t wait to see the photos of your new forever home!
This is brilliant news. I can’t wait to join this new adventure with you and your family.
Amazing pictures and something to remember down the road. My partner and I looking to have pictures like these. Thank you and hope you will enjoy the journey and adventure!
Trust me, I have considered exactly the same thing. The worst thing about living here in the Houston, Texas area is the total lack of natural scenery. It is completely flat and mostly concrete. In December, I have a trip planned to Oceanside, CA with one of my kids. She loves California for the natural beauty and so do I. Maybe this visit will be enough to sway us? If it wasn’t for the high price of real estate in California, I would likely already be there.
Nnniiiccceeeee…this is really great news! I hope you love in California. Thank you for the update.
How exciting that you are moving to CA! Sounds like a wonderful move, both as far as location and at a good point in your life.
Welcome to California. It’s an amazing place to explore and I cannot wait to read your updates!
As congratulations on the move, how exciting. I’m sure you’ll all settle in just fine and enjoy the California sun x
Your journey is interesting as I grew up in Long Island and moved to SoCal 28 years ago. First LA, then OC and now back to the land I love in LA
