Our Favorite Baby Items & Our Daily Schedule for 6 Months – 12 Months

Well, we blinked and our baby is about to turn a year old! How is that even possible? This has easily been the best year of my life and I cannot wait to see what the future will hold. Each week multiple people ask what our schedule looks like, so I’m sharing our updated schedule & favorite baby items with each of you!

Our Most Used Baby Items

At Home:

  • Activity cube ::
  • Stacking Rings ::
  • Sit to walker ::
  • Dump Truck toy :: we cut the string off of the front
  • Soccer ball :: Caleb is a huge Liverpool FC fan, so I got Caleb a mini soccer ball for his birthday. It’s so cute watching the two of them pass the ball with one another.
  • Stackable bath cups ::
  • Toy blocks :: He plays with these everywhere- on the floor, in his walker, on the plane… They are great.
  • Pacifiers :: We still love these pacifiers. They have attachable lids which protect the pacifier from getting dirty.
  • Stokke Crib :: Cayson and I still love this crib.
  • iBaby Monitor :: Still loving this camera. It connects directly to my iPhone so I can check on him from any room! And my family and Caleb downloaded the app, so they can watch him when he naps or sleeps at night too!
  • Owlet :: We still use the Owlet at night. We haven’t had any false alarms and it gives me such peace of mind.
  • Keekaroo :: This is the best changing table ever! It’s rubber so we just wipe it down after accidental pees or explosive poops.
  • Gathre Mat :: We use this for tummy time & when we travel. Now that he is eating, we are actually going to put it under his high chair because somehow food always ends up on the floor. It’s so easy to clean and is pretty. We might get a smaller one specifically for under his high chair.
  • Children’s Illustrated Bible :: We read one story together each night.

For Going Out:

  • Babyzen YOYO+ :: This is our go-to stroller when we plan on eating at a restaurant, plan on taking the subway or when we are traveling.
  • MiaMilly Carrier :: This carrier is easier for Caleb & Cayson LOVES looking out in it. I was convinced I wanted the Ergo Baby carrier, but this one has pockets & zippers, so it’s so much more convenient!
  • Azaria Diaper Bag :: Let me just say a diaper backpack is a MUST! I love the pockets on this diaper bag. I have this bag in black and it’s perfect for fall and winter.
  • FAWN Diaper Bag :: I prefer the leather of this diaper backpack, but the pockets are better on the Azaria. I have this in gray and it’s gorgeous.
  • Bugaboo Fox :: We got it in Grey Melange & love it!
  • Chicco Fit2 Infant & Toddler Car Seat :: I love that it has a base, but also can be used without the base. We’ve actually used it on airplanes too.

Cayson’s Schedule for 6 Months – 12 Months

We follow this schedule pretty closely- specifically when we are home. I do give a 15-30 minute grace period for each time period. When traveling we do our best to stay as close to the schedule as possible, but are decently flexible- we really just focus on feeding at the ‘normal’ times as beast we can.

  • 8 AM :: Breast feed
  • 9 AM :: Feed Solids
  • 10 AM :: Nap {as he got closer to the 10 month mark, this nap started closer to 10:30-10:45}
  • 12 PM  :: Breast feed
  • 1 PM :: Feed Solids
  • 2 PM  :: Nap
  • 4 PM :: Breast feed
  • 5 PM :: Dinner as a family
  • 7:30 PM :: Begin nighttime routine {read, bath, etc.}
  • 8 PM :: Feed
  • 8:30 PM :: Bed

    How strict is “pretty closely?” My baby is about to be 6 months and she is all over the place…
