Sarcasm

Just in honor of fall :)

In today’s world sarcasm is everywhere. We now see it as a type of humor, a defense mechanism or just a type of conversation. Well in class we talked about what the Bible says about sarcasm and our speech. This is essentially what we learned

sar·casm

/ˈsärˌkazəm/

1. tearing of the flesh
2. The use of irony to mock or convey contempt

We cannot just become calloused to Scripture, we must read it and apply it.

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
James 1:22

So true. I like to think that words should build things and not destroy them. Even if they are not always positive, you can always turn it out so that it is constructive.
Can I ask you what class you’re doing? Like your blog <3 it gives me inspiration through my day <3

Thank you for your sweet words! The blog only gives a tiny glimpse into what we are learning! My husband and I are currently studying at the Kanakuk Institute. I believe that they are going to begin posting some of the lessons on their website (kanakukinstitute.com). They also are going to begin posting them to iTunes! Have a wonderful day!
