Staying by the Jardin des Tuileries :: Westin Vendome Paris Review

Paris has a way of capturing your heart and leaving you longing for more. On my recent trip to the City of Light, I had the pleasure of staying at The Westin Vendôme Paris, and it was nothing short of magical.

We chose to stay in this hotel because of the incredible location and stunning views. The Westin Vendome is located in the heart of Paris, just steps away from the Jardin des Tuileries, the Place Vendôme, and the Louvre. And we even had a gorgeous view of the garden and Eiffel Tower from our room. I mean, is there anything more perfect than sipping your morning coffee while taking in a view of the Eiffel Tower?

Day 1 in Paris

From the moment we stepped out of our taxi, the doormen immediately helped us with our bags and escorted us to checkin. The hotel’s interior courtyard was under construction during our stay, but the lobby was spacious and beautiful, with its elegant chandeliers and sophisticated décor. It felt like we had stepped onto a movie set.

Our room was on the smaller side, but we expected it since we were in the 1st arrondissement (one of the BEST locations in Paris), in a historic building, and we booked a standard size room (with an Eiffel Tower View). The room was well designed and the view was perfection. Our room had a 180 degree panoramic view from the Louvre to the Place de la Concorde. We could even see the Arc de Triomphe in the distance!

Waking up to this view each morning felt like a dream. The bed was plush and inviting, the marble bathroom was intimate but well appointed, and the little details – from the fresh flowers to the luxurious bathrobes – made our stay feel extra special.

I had read reviews mentioning that, due to the hotel’s historic building, you might hear some noise from neighbors or the street, so we brought a sound machine just to be safe. We would 100% stay here again, but full discloser, we did indeed use our sound machine.

Normally when on vacation, we spend as little time in our hotel room as possible. But this time, the stunning view kept drawing us back. There were two nights when we returned to our room earlier than usual, simply to enjoy drinks with the incredible view. The first time was due to jet lag – after a long day of travel, we decided the perfect way to end it was with champagne and macarons, while watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle from our room. The second time, a thunderstorm rolled in, and let me tell you, watching lightning dance across the Parisian sky with a glass of champagne on our little terrace was pure magic – it’s something that should be on everyone’s bucket list. If we had stayed anywhere else, I might have felt disappointed to miss out on exploring the city. But with a view like that, it felt like we were still experiencing the beauty of Paris, even from our room.

If you’re planning a trip to Paris, you should definitely keep the Westin Vendome Paris in mind! We would come back in a heart beat! And if you’re planning an event or if you simply get the chance, you MUST look at the stunning historic ballrooms. They were absolutely breathtaking!

I realized my photos of the room just didn’t do the space justice, so I included the videos to share a little more insight into the room and location!

A smaller room for a prime location seems like a good tradeoff to me. I love the videos you shared!

Oh my goodness! That looks like an amazing spot. Honestly, though, I could stay in a cardboard box in that area and call it a win. LOL
