We’ve only been here for one week and we already feel as though this place is home. Truly the Lord has blessed us. We feel alive. Living in NST we are constantly aware of the fact that we are apart of something so much deeper, higher, and wonderful. Life is about so much more than just me.
As much as I hate to admit it, my prayer life usually consists of me praying for things- safety, guidance, more of Him, joy, etc. But since moving to Thailand I can’t help but constantly sing praise to His name. My heart is overwhelmed with thankfulness. I’d be lying if I told you I don’t still pray for things (in NST I often find myself praying for an actual western toilet and rain so we can continue showering). Life here is simple. And just wonderful.
The Lord’s hand has been so apparent in each step- even the little things. Last night I came down with a stomach bug (yuck). But praise the Lord we have today off work! Today our city is celebrating Buddha’s birthday. So this morning Caleb and I went straight to the pharmacy for some medicine and then we meandered around the city for a few hours. I attempted to take photos from the back of our motorbike as we drove but I quickly learned that seat is not conducive to pretty photos. But I will share a few anyways :)
We made it back just in time to be safe and in our home before the afternoon thunderstorm began. (Thank you Jesus for the rain!!) There is something so peaceful about listening to the rain fall on our homes tin roof while we sit indoors listening to podcasts, reading, and preparing for our first day of school (tomorrow). If you happen to think of us, please say a prayer that our first day goes well. I prayed over each desk at least half a dozen time as I began decorating the room (which is a feat in itself here in Thailand- goodness I would love a Party City or a Target!!). Cannot wait to finally meet my precious little kiddos!
so incredibly colorful !
Love this so much:) praying for you as school starts!!
Thank you so much Katie! Praying you love Turkey!!
