Is it possible to visit Paris and not enjoy at least one macaron? I think not! I’m a huge fan of macarons and therefore, I’ve sampled macarons from a plethora of different pastry shops around the city. And after much research, I’ve composed a list of my top five recommendations on where to find the best macarons in Paris!
- Carette. They use jam and ganache fillings in some of their macarons. Definitely pick up a few different macarons to try the different textures and flavors.
- Jean Paul Hévin. Normally they are known for their chocolate, but their macarons are divine as well.
- Ladurée. The inventor of the macaron- need I say more?
- Maison Georges Larnicol. They have an incredible assortment of flavors. I’m a fan of the classics- rose, pistachio, chocolate, etc.
- Pierre Hermé. Love their combination of classic flavors and exotic flavors.
Other recommendations:
- Aoki Sadaharu :: known for their untraditional flavors
- Café Pouchkine :: All of their pastries are worth trying
- Gérard Mulot :: fun & colorful flavors
- Lenotre :: fluffy, light & divine
