The Best Rosé Wines for Rooftop Dining & Al Fresco Dining

It’s officially rooftop and picnic weather! Is anyone else excited? Rooftop season is my absolute favorite! We take every chance we get to dine al fresco and now that we have a rooftop and grills, we find ourselves getting outdoors even more. Now that the weather has started getting nicer, we’ve found ourselves sampling various types of wine as we grill out. Here are a handful of the best rosé wines for rooftop dining! {in alphabetical order}

  • Chateau Maupague Sainte-Victoire Rosé :: This rosé is incredibly light and easy to drink. It’s a great go-to.
  • Cote des Roses :: It’s good, but my favorite part was definitely the bottle. Don’t get me wrong, I would buy it even in a plain bottle- it’s good. But the bottle is definitely what puts it over the edge. We kept it as a water carafe.
  • Domaines Ott Chateau Romassan Badndol Rosé :: I love the bottle and the flavors. This one is also extremely light with a bit of a grapefruit and floral note to it.
  • Jean-Luc Colombo Cape Bleue Rosé :: This is a great budget rosé. It’s light and delicious- perfect to sip while grilling. Due to the price, it’s one of our go-tos!
  • Los Vascos :: The 2018 version is my favorite- it is light in color and delicious! I’m a fan on lighter colored rosés and the 2018 version is amazing. The 2017 is too dark for my taste, so be sure to get the 2018 version.
  • Wente Rosé :: I had this rosé with fish and it was lovely!
  • Whispering Angel :: This one might be a tad over advertised, but I like it. It’s on a plethora of restaurant menus and is a good go-to.
  • Wolffer Estate Rosé :: Local to Long Island, this might be one of my favorite rosés from NY. Also, can we talk about the gorgeous floral bottle?

What are some of your go-to rosés?

    I’ve only tried the Whispering Angel of these, I might have to try the others! I’m a creature of habit so it might be time for me to branch out!
