The Perfect Fall Bucket List

Fall Bucket List

Fall is easily my favorite time of the year! There are so many cliché quotes about the changes that take place in fall, and they speak so true to my heart! Between the crisp air, gorgeous foliage, warm drinks & general sense of change- fall feels like a big hug enveloped in a cozy sweater.

Each year we make a fall bucket list of things we want to do to celebrate this season. If you haven’t made a fall bucket list yet- here are a bunch of ideas you should add to your list!

  • Walk/hike through fall foliage :: In a dream situation we head to Upstate New York or somewhere in the northeast for a hike- but really anywhere with fall foliage is a nice change of pace!
  • Go apple picking :: We LOVE apple picking and have done it every year since we moved to New York! It’s a tradition I want to keep forever.
  • Buy mums :: Since we don’t have a front or back porch, we don’t get to enjoy mums in our little apartment. But if we had space- we 100% would have mums everywhere!
  • Carve a pumpkin :: Somehow, Caleb had never carved a pumpkin before we were married! We haven’t carved pumpkins since we moved to NYC, but we still buy pumpkins and draw faces on them with Cayson!
  • Burn a fall scented candle :: I really love this scent, this scent & this set. This diffuser is also incredible! We also have a Pura in our living room and love their scents!
  • Visit a farmers market :: We always pick up fresh fruit/vegetables, flowers and cheese from local farms!
  • Make s’mores :: Bonus points if you have a bonfire! Since we don’t often have access to bonfires or a real fireplace- we use this in our apartment! It actually cooks them perfectly! It makes a great Christmas present or hostess gift!
  • Bake pumpkin cookies :: You can find my favorite pumpkin recipe here!
  • Run through a corn maze :: Cayson thinks it’s hysterical getting lost in the corn maze.
  • Enjoy a hot apple cider :: Caleb loves a good hot apple cider!
  • Wear a cozy sweater :: I recently picked up this sweater in black from Amazon and loved it so much I bought it in beige too! I’ve worn each of them about a dozen times already!
  • Go on a hay ride :: Cayson really loved the hay ride this year! It was so sweet watching his eyes light up as the tractor pulled us around the apple orchard!
  • Watch You’ve Got Mail :: Classic for a reason. “Don’t you love New York in the fall? It makes me wanna buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address.”
  • Order your Christmas cards :: I try to order ours before Thanksgiving so we can send them out right around Thanksgiving! We received our first Christmas card in early November & it brings me so much joy!! We keep ours on display through New Years!

What would you add to this list?

on me
sweater :: skirt old, similar :: tights :: boots :: glasses old, similar

on Cayson
jacket :: sweater :: pants :: shoes

I would add “have fall portraits taken”. You’ve given me a lot more ideas to add to my fall to do list.
