In 2013 I wrote a 3D kids book for a project at the Kanakuk Institute. My book told the story of the Bible in chronological order and in my opinion, it made the stories in the Bible make so much more sense. I was really proud of the book and could not wait to read it with my little ones some day.

Initially, I had no intention of really sharing the book publicly, but after my presentation was over the leader {a father of three} encouraged me to have it published so others could use it too. Shortly after, I met with a few publishers and learned the bad news- my 3D book would be really expensive to make and therefore, really expensive for a customer to purchase. My dream was crushed.

Three years later and I still believe in this book. As Caleb and I begin to talk about our future littles, the more I feel called to publish this book.

The Bible came to life for me in a new way at the Institute. The omnipotence of Yahweh becomes even more apparent when the Bible is put in chronological order and matched up with history. Yes, there are chronological Bible books out there already, but not one is designed or presented how I imagine it.

I wish everyone could attend the Institute and learn the lessons I did, but for most people it is not realistic to take 8 months to be a full time student of the Bible. That is why this kids book is so important. Not only can parents or adults re-learn the Bible in a new and simple form, but it can also help the Bible come alive for kids.

In 2016, I’m going to make this happen. I believe in it and the ‘why’ behind it.  This month, I am starting my research so I can begin rewriting and redesigning the book in a format that will be affordable and realistic.
