Intentional August

proverbs 16-3

Happy Monday! This weekend I finally finished writing out most of my goals and the steps required to achieve them. No more coasting for this girl! :) Intentional August is off to a beautiful start. This month I am being intentional with my goals, my time, and my relationships. I am beginning each day with my espresso, my quiet time, and looking over/praying over my schedule for the day. At the top of each of my pages I wrote Proverbs 16:3. I truly believe that as long as I commit my plans to the Lord & am persistent in prayer I can achieve my goals and be intentional with my time.

“Nothing is impossible, The word itself says I’m possible” -Audry Hepburn

    1 Corinthians 13
    The Message (MSG)
    The Way of Love

13 If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.

2 If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I don’t love, I’m nothing.

3-7 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.

By the way, gonna start doing the same thing every morning. Used to do it to, but it got away from me.

Such a great way to start you day off right!

The last quote that hit me hard was: “Prayer partnered with scripture study brings forth a testimony” – unknown
I had just finished reading & studying about Christ and was about to hop up to move on to other things. As I was closing my journal it opened to a previous date back in Feb when I had written that quote down. It hit me like a “duh”- can’t finish my study off with out a prayer!

A few others from my quote book:
“Happiness is the destination, but it is also the path” -Dieter F. Uchtdorf

“Live your life so when you wake up in the morning, the devil yells “Dang It! She is awake again” ” – unknown

Absolutely love: 2nd TImonthy 4:7: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” – I want to be able to say that when I am back in the Lord’s presence!

Ephesians 6:11-17- Telling us to put on the Armour of God and take your stand against the Devil

2nd Corinthians 12: 9-10 Teaching us trials make us stronger thru God

Thank you Sarah! You are so right- scripture and prayer go hand in hand. Great words of wisdom! Thank you for the other verses and quotes as well! All so good!!

I’m so doing this! Making sure I have quiet time each morning and praying over my day. I get up early anyways to workout but I usually relax the rest of my morning and sometimes read a little something. Prayer always happens but not in a intentional way like this!! thanks for being such a great example!!!

Loving your blog!! I feel asleep last night after hearing “Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again – my Savior and my God!” That was a wave my mind rode all night long in its sleep.
