My 8 March Goals

Anyone else love setting goals? I truly believe there is power in writing your goals down. Normally I sit down and write my year goals in late December/early January, but honestly… I’m still working on my 2021 goals. I looked back on my 2020 goals and literally laughed. So this year I’m adjusting my goals so they can be accomplished in any environment.

But as we enter into a new month, I’m determined to be intentional. So these are my 8 March goals.

  1. Create picture books :: Confession- I still haven’t made Cayson’s one year birthday book. So I want to start collecting all of my favorite photos from each week and uploading them to Shutterfly to create a photobook over time. This way I’m adding photos to the book each Sunday rather than trying to dig through a whole years worth of photos at the end of the year.
  2. Fitness :: I’m still holding on to pregnancy weight. With Cayson it just slid off, with Ciaran it’s still lingering. In March I plan on doing yoga twice a week and some other type of workout two-three times a week.
  3. Wake up earlier :: I’m not a morning person and Ciaran is currently going through a sleep regression. But I really want to wake up a bit earlier to spend more time either working out or getting a few work things accomplished. Even 15-20 minutes extra would help!
  4. Cook more healthy meals at home more :: We’ve gotten SO much better about cooking at home recently. But now I want to be better about making healthier meals at home.
  5. Order all {or most} of our home decor :: We are in the process of building a vacation rental home in Branson, Missouri. But that means we need to furnish it. And it’s a bit hard to furnish a 6 bedroom home without actually walking it. In March I want to order as much furniture as possible, so when the home is fully built we can get it decorated and rented ASAP.
  6. Blog more :: I used to love writing and posting on social media, but I’ve been so busy that everything kind of ended up on the back burner. Through blogging and social media I’ve made some incredible friends. In March I want to post more often and return to that community!
  7. Enjoy NYC more :: NYC is a shell of its former self. It breaks my heart. But I want to take advantage of the city & learn to embrace the ‘new’ New York City.
  8. Create more videos :: By the time Cayson was 5 months old he had visited 3 countries and 8 States. We had documented his early days so well. Ciaran on the other hand, was born during a pandemic and we haven’t left New York once. But I want to create more videos to commemorate this time and this season of life. Even if it’s videos of us in our little apartment just playing as a family.

I hadn’t really given much thought to how NYC and other major cities have changed. I’m sure it’s a lot – I would love to read a blog on your perspective on it!

It’s so cool that you’re building a vacation rental home! I bet that’s a huge undertaking, but simultaneously really fun as well! Best of luck with all of your goals this month. I think you’re going to totally crush it!
