Our Baby Bucket List & Dreams for His Future

Baby Bucket List beyond blessedCaleb and I could not be more excited and terrified as we enter this next chapter of our lives! Baby C will be here in under 50 days {give or take} and we are already dreaming of all the adventures ahead. My parents always encouraged me to dream big and to pursue my wildest dreams- regardless of how far fetched them may seem. Now that we are about to become parents, I pray we encourage him the same way. We have so many hopes and dreams for him.

The other day Caleb & I spent an evening dreaming of all the adventures we will have as a family and shared our many hopes for his future. Below are just a few of the many, many items we prayed over and discussed together. These are a few things on our baby bucket list for Baby C.

Travel

If you have followed this blog or me on Instagram, you likely already know I love to travel. Caleb and I literally have family coast to coast, so Baby C will certainly be traveling quite often!

  • In the US. In his first few months of life he will definitely be visiting California, Florida and Georgia. But we are also dreaming of tractor rides in Branson, boat rides in Annapolis, apple picking in Upstate New York, visiting old friends in Texas, a weekend trip to Chattanooga, and so much more!
  • International. There are few countries I don’t want to visit, but I am currently dreaming of a few destinations specifically. I’m imagining him eating pasta in Italy, enjoying a croissant in France, dipping his toes in the water in Bermuda, soaking up the gorgeous views in Greece, learning about my family’s history in Russia, and so many other places!
  • In New York City. There is always something to do or see in NYC. A few things we are looking forward to are boat cruises around Manhattan, exploring Central Park, visiting the many museums, picnics in Central Park, trips to the Statue of Liberty, visiting the Central Park & Bronx Zoo, attending Yankees Games and NYCFC Games, exploring the different neighborhoods and boroughs. This list could literally go on and on!

Personal

  • Close family relationships. Caleb and I are both extremely close with our parents and grandparents. We hope these relationships continue to grow and that Baby C will cherish our relationships as a family.
  • Community. We hope he is constantly surrounded by an encouraging and uplifting group of close friends.
  • Dream. Life is too short to dream small. We want him to dream big and to pursue his passions.
  • Joyful. We pray joy fills his heart, his laughter is contagious and that a smile is always on his face.
  • Knows the Lord. Above all, we want him to have a relationship with the Lord from an early age.
  • Love. We pray love fills every aspect of his life. We hope to teach him to have love, compassion, empathy and a heart for the world and those around him.
  • Sense of adventure. Caleb and I were those kids growing up. You know, those kids who always were always running around, getting into everything and were curious about the world. I pray Baby C also has a sense of adventure and is curious about the world around him.
  • Spouse. Life is so much sweeter with Caleb by my side and we pray Baby C finds a wife who will bring as much joy and love into his life as we have found together. Marriage really is the best!
