My Goals for 2025

Does anyone else love the start of a new year? As another year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the past and eagerly anticipating the future. There’s something magical about the start of a new year – a fresh slate filled with endless possibilities. And I believe there is power in not only writing down your goals, but also publicly sharing them. So here are my goals for 2025! Do you set goals?

Relationships

  1. Date night once a month: This year I want to prioritize quality time with my husband. We were better about having intentional date nights in 2024, but I want to be better about it in 2025.
  2. Have 1-on-1 time with each kid at least once a week: I love my boys, but our weeks get so busy I hardly get to spend intentional 1-on-1 time with each boy. This year, that is going to change- even if it’s only 30 minutes.
  3. Continue building our community: I adore the community we’ve built here. I want to continue investing in these relationships and continue expanding our circle.

Learning

  1. Read at least 1 book a month: I love reading, but read a lot less once I had kids. I’m back into reading and want to start reading more for both fun and learning!
  2. Listen to at least 1 podcast a week: I love listening to podcasts and would make this goal higher, but I really want to work on goal number 3.
  3. Practice French daily: We are headed to France with the boys this year, so I want to complete 1 french lesson every day between January 1 and the day we depart! These lessons are 30 minutes without stops and I often have to do them twice. So I need to wake up earlier to achieve this goal.

Health

  1. Cook at home 5 times a week: Cooking has never been my strong suit. This year- I’m changing that!
  2. Stretch/yoga at least 3 times a week: I’ve lost so much of my flexibility and this year I’m determined to get it back (although I’m not expecting to be able to do the splits anymore… ha)
  3. Do Pvolve at least 1x time a month: I love how Pvolve is low impact but really helps tone my muscles. I got out of the habit of doing Pvolve and need to bring it back.

Personal

  1. Wake up earlier: I really need the extra 30-60 minutes in the morning to achieve my goals and for my mental health.
  2. Explore 3 new cities: I’m so excited we are taking the boys to France and are finally making it to Southern France! Anyone have tips on where to go, what to do, what to see, etc?
  3. Less screen time: I really want to limit my phone screen time specifically.
  4. Create a family yearbook: Every year it is a goal of mine to make a family photo book. Maybe I can use AI to go through my phone and start doing it for past years- is that a thing?

Faith

  1. Start our Bible study with our friends: We’ve been talking about doing this for ages and our busy schedules just haven’t made it happen yet. This is the year!
  2. Spend more time in the Word each morning: I start each day with a small devotional, but would love to spend more time in the Word.
  3. Improve my prayer life: My prayer life has dwindled in recent years and I would love to see it return.

Work

  1. Write at least 1 blog post a week: I’ve always loved blogging and reading other’s blogs. It’s like a little personal journal of our lives- and I love that!
  2. Post at least 1 feed Instagram post a week: Again, this is mostly for myself, as I’ve used it as a personal journal of our lives.
  3. Post at least 3 TikToks a day on weekdays: I’ve really started to love Tiktok! It feels so casual and fun!

I think these are amazing goals! They’re all the kinds of things that are easily achievable but can make such a big impact on life.

One of my goals is to eat healthier and I’m doing pretty well so far. It is a true blessing to see another year to be honest and I look forward to achieving more of my goals this year. I love the spend time with family, more prayer, and less screen time…you have a beautiful family!
