Our Big Announcement is…

Almost a decade ago, Caleb and I moved from a small city in Thailand to New York City. Caleb was still job hunting and I had a job that paid practically nothing. We were broke, young and so excited! I grew up dreaming of building a life in NYC- of having a family in the city. Little did I know, even my wildest dreams were going to be surpassed. 

Since our move to New York, we’ve lived in 3 different apartments, 3 different neighborhoods, visited a dozen or so Broadway plays, ate our way through the city, and my favorite memories of all- we made our little New Yorker boys. So much has happened since we moved to the city. And while I always dreamed of raising my family in the city, the Lord has set a new dream in my heart. So while NYC will always be a home to me, it’s time for a us to move on.

We are officially moving. We will be headed to Branson, MO for a while as we prepare our investments and work for the family company and then, we will be moving to Southern California before Cayson starts kindergarten. While my heart is a bit heavy as we put a bookmark in this chapter, I’m so thankful for the memories we’ve made. And I know it’s not a goodbye, it’s a see you later. Caleb and I have a goal to come back when the boys are grown (just like my parents did). 

So New York- thank you! Thank you for the memories, relationships, growth, and so much more. I’m already looking forward to my trip back to visit in November and to many more NYC memories to come!
