If you enjoy history, Berlin needs to be on your bucket list. The city is full of rich history and has so many incredible museums. I do have to be honest- Berlin was not my personal favorite city, but the museums were wonderful- specifically the Holocaust and Anne Frank museums. My husband loves history, so it was fun to see it all come to life- especially since so much of the “history” is still so new. Here are my tips on what to do in Berlin!

- We spent 3 nights in Berlin and felt that was the perfect amount of time for us.
- Rather than setting an itinerary for you, I recommend using suggestions below and deciding what to do each day depending on your weather!

I love Berlin! And I agree with the sights and attractions you included on your itinerary too. It’s a vibrant city, with a rich history, and very cool people too! As usual, you’ve taken some great photos of Berlin.
Germany is such a beautiful country. I need to go back and spend time in Berlin. I love the museums and beautiful architecture.
I saw Anne’s diary in Amsterdam but it would go to Berlin just for the Holocaust and Anne Frank museum! There’s something about Berlin that always reminds me of punk rock, and that’s reason enough for me to go but that architecture! And you look stunning at that (artsy af) lamppost! I’d get lost in a place like berlin for an afternoon just to see what I could! No itinerary, no nothin.
Berlin. What s great city. I have visited other cities in Germany but not Berlin After reading this it does put it on my bucket list. So much history and so much to do in the city. Thanks for sharing some great details from transport to accommodation. Great post.
For some reason Germany isnt very high on my travel wish list but Berlin is! Perhaps mostly because of its history but also for the cool and vibrant atmosphere many have been tolding me about! I have been to Anne Frank museum in Amsterdam but I don’t mind visiting it aswell in Berlin!
I just love Berlin and I have been a few times over the years for various reasons. It is cool that you got to see Ann Franks journal. I don’t think I made to the Holocaust Memorial and Ann Frank museum and think that is because I have been to her house in Amsterdam. I do like the sound of Schloss Charlottenburg and adding that one to my list.
Berlin is the only city I’m yet to visit in Germany. Hope to visit this city on my next visit soon. The Holocaust Memorial and Ann Frank Museum are on top of my list, would love to tour these places.
Berlin is next on my European bucket list when I Get the chance! It sounds like such a great city. I bet the Anne Frank Museum is awesome!
Berlin is on my list and just like you mentioned, history is the reason. I am a museum lover too and Anne Frank is definitely on my to do.
3 days sounds good and I glad you suggested a good breakfast place too. I am not someone who loves to stick to itineraries and I am glad you shared different things to do.
