What to do in Bermuda

Bermuda is a little gem! The water is crystal blue, the sand has a soft pink hue and the temperatures are mild. I don’t know how it took me 20 something years to make it to this little piece of paradise. Tourism only accounts for about 25% of the country’s business, so it’s decently untouched and still feels so real- which I love! If you’re looking for a sunny beach getaway, Bermuda definitely needs to be on your list- especially if you’re flying in from NYC. It’s such a fast flight! We’ve been a couple times now, so here are my tips on what to do in Bermuda!

Itinerary

  • Simply enjoy the beach! Depending on the time of year, you may want to book the swimming with dolphins or snorkel/glass bottom boat in advance!

Airport/Train Stations

  • L.F. Wade International Airport, formerly named Bermuda International Airport (BDA)

Hotel

Restaurants

  • Breakfast
    • We had breakfast at our hotel every morning
  • Lunch/Dinner
    • We ate at our hotel majority of the time- there are so many great options on property!
    • Henry VIII Restaurant

Transportation

  • Taxi
  • Scooter :: rent a scooter!

What to do

  • Enjoy the beach
  • Visit the Pink Sand Beach (Horseshoe Bay)
  • Explore Hamilton & walk around! It’s a cute little city!
  • Swim with dolphins at Dolphin Quest
  • Snorkel or go on a glass bottom boat
  • Stand up paddle board {we rented them from our hotel}

Recommendations

  • Soak up the sun and relax!
  • There weren’t really any waves in the water, which was great for traveling with little kids.

    I love how the water looks in Bermuda, it’s the most gorgeous shade of blue! It looks like the perfect place to go stand up paddle boarding. The glass bottom boat would be a fun experience too. Good to know it’s easy to reach from NYC too…..the perfect getaway :)

    It’s been years since I visited Bermuda and looks like it hasn’t changed at all. That sea is so blue!! One of our many highlights was renting a scooter and exploring the whole island.

    Bermuda is so gorgeous — that water is unreal. We are spoiled to have pretty white sand and light turquoise water in Florida, but I’ve never been to a pink sand beach. I would definitely like to check that out! I’ve also never gotten to swim with dolphins and it looks so fun! Your photos make me want to book a trip right now!

    Bermuda is so gorgeous! I love the blue sea and sandy white beaches. I would love to visit the Pink Sand Beach. Is the sand really pink there? Or is it just a name?

    The beach and the sea look like slices of Paradise. I can understand that if you are here I guess you don’t need to do anything else. For me, Bermuda always conjures up images of disappearing ships and planes. All because of an overdose of the ‘Bermuda Triangle’, stories! But this really is paradise. Loved the video too, can see you all had a great time including the little one.

    I am planning from Bermuda and from your photos it looks that I am making a great choice. In your video, you kid looks adorable and seems like enjoying crispy blue sea. Swimming with dolphins and the view from glass base of boat is very exotic thing to do here.

    Now I can tell my son that there’s nothing to worry about Bermuda Triangle. Your pictures tell how beauty is the island. I really like the pinkish beach and swimming with the dolphins. The fact that it is still far from tourists crowd, it adds another positive value to this island.
